76ers' Guerschon Yabusele: Will start Monday
Yabusele will start in Monday's game against Chicago, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports.
With Joel Embiid (knee) on the shelf, Yabusele will step back into the starting five. The big man has seen significant run with the starters this season, and over his last 10 starts, he has averaged 13.2 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.2 three-pointers and 1.0 steals in 31.6 minutes per contest.

76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Cleared to play Monday
Maxey (finger) is available for Monday's game against the Bulls, Noah Levick of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Maxey will play through a right finger sprain Monday, and he figures to handle a normal workload. Over his last 11 games, the star guard is averaging 30.1 points, 6.4 assists, 3.5 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 3.5 three-pointers in 38.4 minutes. With Joel Embiid (knee) sidelined against Chicago, Maxey is also primed to take on an increase in usage.

76ers' Joel Embiid: Ruled out Monday
Embiid (knee) will not play Monday against the Bulls, ESPN's Shams Charania reports.
Fantasy managers probably saw this one coming. Embiid was previously listed as questionable, but the franchise is likely to be very cautious going forward. According to Charania, the 76ers are consulting with doctors and specialists to determine the next steps for his recovery after he underwent additional imaging Monday. In the meantime, guys like Guerschon Yabusele and Andre Drummond could see increased roles for the 76ers.

76ers' Joel Embiid: Weighing treatment options
Embiid (knee) and the 76ers are consulting doctors and considering alternative options for his injured knee, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Embiid, who has played just 19 games this season as he continues to manage a left knee injury, is now considering alternative options after current load-management efforts and injections have not led to the desired improvements. Since returning from the All-Star break, Embiid has totaled 15 or fewer points in back-to-back games for the first time in nearly four years and reportedly experienced swelling in his left knee following Saturday's loss to the Nets. Although he's listed as questionable for Monday's contest against the Bulls, it wouldn't be shocking to see Embiid shut down for an extended period considering the repeated swelling in his knee and the proven ineffectiveness of current treatment methods.

76ers' Justin Edwards: Won't return Monday vs. Bulls
Edwards (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's game against Chicago, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports.
Edwards will miss a third consecutive game Monday due to a left ankle injury, and his next opportunity to see the floor is Wednesday against the Knicks. Ricky Council and David Roddy should continue to see increased playing time in Edwards' absence.

76ers' Kyle Lowry: Won't play Monday vs. Chicago
Lowry (hip) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Bulls, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports.
Lowry's absence will extend to five straight games due to a right hip injury. Head coach Nick Nurse told reporters Sunday that Lowry's hip issues are mainly tied into pain tolerance, and there's hope among the 76ers that the veteran point guard will return soon, per Aaronson. Lowry's next chance to suit up will be Wednesday against the Knicks.

76ers' Eric Gordon: Remaining out Monday
Gordon (wrist) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Bulls, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports.
Gordon will miss a fifth straight game due to a sprained right wrist. He's already seen two specialists for the injury, and head coach Nick Nurse said Sunday that Gordon will visit a third in the coming week, per Aaronson. Ricky Council and Quentin Grimes will continue to see increased playing time for as long as Gordon is sidelined.

76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Dealing with finger sprain
Maxey is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Bulls due to a right finger sprain, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports.
Maxey dropped 31 points during the 76ers' 105-103 loss to the Nets on Saturday, but it appears he injured his right finger in the process. He'll likely go through pregame warmups before Monday's game before a decision is made on his availability. Jared Butler would be the top candidate to slide into the starting five if Maxey is not cleared to play.

76ers' Justin Edwards: Iffy for Monday
Coach Nick Nurse said Edwards (ankle) participated in about "75 percent" of Sunday's practice and is questionable for Monday's game against the Bulls, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports.
Edwards has missed two straight games due to an ankle injury but is nearing a return to action. With Joel Embiid (knee) missing practice again, Edwards could have a hefty role when given the green light again.

76ers' Joel Embiid: Questionable for Monday
Coach Nick Nurse said Embiid (knee) didn't practice Sunday and is questionable for Monday's game against the Bulls, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports.
In two games since the All-Star break, Embiid has totaled 29 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists in 58 minutes. He hasn't scored more than 30 points since Dec. 30 and has made only eight appearances since then. If Embiid is sidelined again, Guerschon Yabusele and Andre Drummond are candidates for increased roles.

76ers' Paul George: Continues to struggle from deep
George posted 15 points (5-10 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, one block and three steals in 40 minutes during Saturday's 105-103 loss to the Nets.
George's recent struggles from long range continued Saturday, and he also failed to reach the 20-point mark for the eighth game in a row. During the cold spell, he's averaged 11.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.8 three-pointers while shooting only 31.8 percent from beyond the arc. However, the star forward has logged 1.9 steals per game to help offset the shooting woes during that period, and he'll have a prime opportunity to get back on track Monday against a Bulls team that ranks 29th in the NBA in opponent points per game (120.6).

76ers' Joel Embiid: Another poor showing Saturday
Embiid recorded 14 points (4-13 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 6-6 FT), seven rebounds, five assists and one block over 31 minutes during Saturday's 105-103 loss to the Nets.
It was a poor showing by Embiid, who struggled for the second consecutive game after scoring just 15 points in Thursday's loss to Boston. Although the superstar big man has been productive with averages of 22.5 points, 8.7 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 0.8 blocks and 1.2 three-pointers in 32.0 minutes over his last six appearances, he's shooting just 42.7 percent from the floor and 25.0 percent from deep during this span. The 20-36 76ers are running out of time to make a serious playoff push in 2024-25, which could play a part in determining how much maintenance Embiid might get to rest his balky left knee down the stretch of the campaign.

76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Adds another 30-point effort
Maxey notched 31 points (10-23 FG, 5-11 3Pt, 6-6 FT), two rebounds, five assists and one block over 43 minutes during Saturday's 105-103 loss to the Nets.
Maxey stepped up with 31 points for the 76ers while Joel Embiid and Paul George combined to score just 29 points, but it wasn't enough in Saturday's last-second defeat. It was the 21st game of the year with at least 30 points for Maxey, who is averaging 30.1 points, 6.4 assists, 3.5 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 3.5 three-pointers in 38.4 minutes over his last 11 outings.

76ers' Lonnie Walker: Available to make team debut
Head coach Nick Nurse said Walker will be available to make his 76ers debut Saturday against the Nets, Erik Slater of ClutchPoints.com reports.
After being waived by the Celtics during training camp, Walker caught on with Lithuanian club Zalgiris Kaunas before returning to the NBA this week upon agreeing with the 76ers on a two-way deal. Walker spent the 2023-24 campaign with the Nets, averaging 9.7 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists over 17.4 minutes per game across 58 games. The 26-year-old could earn a spot in the Philadelphia rotation while Eric Gordon (wrist) is sidelined, but Walker will likely struggle to see enough minutes to attain relevance in most fantasy formats.

76ers' Alex Reese: Lands two-way deal
Reese agreed to a two-way contract with the 76ers on Friday, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Reese was briefly a member of the Thunder's 15-man roster earlier this season and made one appearance at the NBA level before being waived Oct. 31. He's since spent the entire campaign in the G League with the Rip City Remix, averaging 16.4 points (on 49.1 percent shooting from the field), 6.8 rebounds, 3.4 three-pointers, 1.7 blocks, 1.3 assists and 1.2 steals in 25.9 minutes per game over 25.9 minutes per contest. As a two-way player, Reese will be eligible to appear in games at both the NBA and G League level, but he's likely to see the bulk of his playing time with the 76ers' affiliate in Delaware.
